On the evening of December 29th, the Student International Club held the "Sharing Session of Study Abroad in Europe" in Conference Room L1-610. It was hosted by Wang Jiake, the chairman of the club, and invited Ms. Huang Jiexin from IHD College as the lecturer to share her experiences. Members of the Student International Club participated in this event.
Ms. Huang Jiexin shared her working experiences in Atlantic City (United States), Dubai(United Arab Emirates), Bordeaux and Paris(France), etc., and her participation in various cross-cultural exchange activities. She pointed out that "The world is a book. And if you only know one language, you can only see one page of the book," She emphasized the importance of learning another language especially.
Then, Ms. Huang gave some suggestions to students on how to learn foreign languages well, like listening to songs in foreign languages, making foreign friends, and reading original books in foreign languages. In addition, she also discussed with students on their ways to learn foreign languages well and reached a consensus with them that the brain's load is always limited, so write down the things important.
At last, Ms. Huang encouraged students to master at least two foreign languages, and actively learn about the rich cultures of other countries. She had shown her expectations that through this sharing session, the participating students can have more interest in the cultural differences, and improve themselves a little bit to meet future challenges.
