University Students Art Troupe Visited Thailand

Cater for the 67th anniversary of the National Day, the Students Art Troupe of Nanjing Tech University Pujiang Institute was invited to perform by Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Khon Kaen, Thai Chamber of Commerce in China, Chinese Associations in Nakhon Ratchasima and Charoen Pokphand Group.
During the nine-day cultural communication, the Art Troupe put on special performances to celebrate the National Day at the reception of Chinese businessman, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Khon Kaen and Panyapiwat Institute of Management separately in Thailand. The Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand Jiang Chen, the Consul-general of China in Khon Kaen Minggang Li, the Vice President of Charoen Pokphand Group Chufeng Cai, other Chinese compatriot and guests, over 3000 people had spectated the gala. The Art Troupe was mainly composed of 40 members, led by Zhiqiang Li, the Vice President of Pujiang Institute, Xie Huang, the winner of the Best Instrumental Solo of Golden Bell Award, Wei Li, a signed actor of the Norwegian National Opera, Mr. and Mrs. Sievers, German percussionist and so on.
The spectacular and unique dancing show “Thousand-hand Bodhisattva”, the performances of Tai Chi and Chinese traditional instrument all received unanimous praise from the audience.
The Consul-general of China in Khon Kaen, Minggang Li, stated that the tour was a huge success, which increased a strong festive atmosphere of the National Day in Thailand. It had made a great contribution to such cultural communication between China and Thailand.
The Vice President of Charoen Pokphand Group, Chufeng Cai, expressed that Sino-Thai cultural communication had become more and more significant, especially profoundly impacted by “The Belt and Road” strategy and ASEAN. It was a relief that Pujiang Institute could take on the responsibility of Sino-Thai cultural communication on tertiary education.
The Art Troupe of Pujiang Institute was invited by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand. It is the first time that universities and colleges of Jiangsu Province have in-depth cooperation with overseas Chinese leaders and universities, which also demonstrates the artistic education achievements of Pujiang Institute in a global vision.
